What is RHV RoboMed Academy?
A robotics and advanced surgery training initiative at Redeemer’s Health Village in Nigeria, bringing together online learning and a pathway towards hands-on robotic surgery training.
Where is the training site?
The hands-on training site is Redeemer’s Health Village on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria.
When does training begin?
The first intake is planned for January 2027. Exact dates, cohort schedules and further programme details will be communicated to applicants.
Who can apply?
The application includes tracks for surgeons, theatre nurses, biomedical engineers and hospital teams. Final eligibility and placement are reviewed by the Academy.
Which specialties are included?
The surgical pathways span urology, general surgery and gynaecology. Select your specialty when completing the application.
Is the application free?
Yes. There is no payment at the application stage. Training fees will be communicated in the coming days, and payment is requested only after acceptance.
How do I access the online course?
Submit the application form using your own email address and confirm your email when prompted. Registration is connected to RoboMed Academy’s Video Curriculum offer. Check your inbox for confirmation and course access instructions.
Does online access reserve a training place?
No. Online course access and the hands-on training application are separate steps. The Academy reviews applications and confirms hands-on places directly.
What happens after I apply?
Look out for an email confirmation. The Academy will review your application and communicate programme details, training fees and the next steps. Submitting the form does not commit you to pay.
Can a hospital apply as a team?
Yes. Select “Hospital team” as your training track and include the hospital or institution name. The Academy can then follow up on your team’s training needs.
Will certification or CPD be available?
Final certification, accreditation and CPD details are still to be confirmed. The Academy will share the approved information before you commit to a training place.
